Abstract

String students trained in the Suzuki method of instruction, or Talent Education, are entering beginning public school string orchestra classes in increasing numbers with advanced playing and performance skills. Teachers are finding ways to meet the needs of all their students through teaching materials and methodologies. A combination of the Suzuki literature, traditional method books, and pedagogical practices seek to bridge this gap as teachers become familiar with Suzuki terminology and suggested teaching practices to meet the needs of all students.
