Title

Multinationality and Performance: The Moderating InfluenceofInternationalization Motives and Resources

Abstract

This study aims to find the multinationality and performance relationship for the largest Indian software companies. It further tests the moderating influence of internationalization motives (marketing- versus labor-seeking) and resources on this relationship. Results show an inverted U-shaped relationship between multinationality and performance for Indian software firms. Additionally, this relationship is moderated by the internationalization motives of these firms. In the process, we add to the literature with our unique context and moderating variables.
