Abstract
This creative thesis project documents the creation of the character Raul in William Mastrosimone's Extremities. To better understand the process of creating a character for the purpose of performance, this thesis will outline the rehearsal process, the character studies, and finally the role in performance. This will demonstrate the success and/or failure of the preliminary work leading up to the closing of the show.
