Using bibliotherapy in treatment with children in residential care
Abstract
This paper offers strategies for using bibliotherapy with children in residential care. The bibliotherapeutic approach is presented, useful books for treating a number of childhood problems are offered. Suggested books for bibliotherapy are listed under the following problem areas —Alcohol and Drugs, Anger and Other Emotions, Attitudes and Values, Child Abuse, Family Breakdown, Fear and Fantasy, Peers and School, Self-Image and Sex Roles, Sex Education, and Special Developmental Needs. © Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
