Understanding clopidogrel antiplatelet therapy
Abstract
Clopidogrel is a P2Y12 inhibitor effective in reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and other thromboembolic events. Nurses should incorporate appropriate nursing actions and patient teaching in their plans of care to help patients remain safe and free of adverse events while taking this medication.
