Title
Stateline Faults: Making a Case for Standardized Terminology in Lithic Studies from an Ozarks-Wide Perspective
Abstract
It is not uncommon for discrepancies in terminology to appear in archeological literature, especially when multiple researchers are developing typologies across a large region such as the Ozarks that spans parts of five states. However, standardized terminology reduces potential confusion. A few suggestions are offered to help standardize discrepancies that are associated with certain chipped-stone raw materials in the southwestern Ozarks.
