The Ebb and Flow of Lymphatic Valve Formation

Abstract

Recently, substantial advances have been made in understanding the formation and remodeling of the lymphatic vasculature. In this issue, Sabine etal. (2012) further define the mechanisms of lymphatic valve formation and implicate oscillatory shear stress in regulating the molecular events that control valve morphogenesis.
