Cardinal and scattered-cardinal interpolation by functions having non-compact support

Abstract

In this paper, we introduce the notion "scattered-cardinal interpolation" and obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for the solvability of this interpolation scheme. We also generalize some results of de Boor, Höllig and Riemenschneider, Chui, Jetter and Ward, and Jetter and Riemenschneider on the correctness of lp-cardinal interpolation on Zd or its submoduls.
