Tosylate/chloride rate ratios for beta-thioethyl substrates. Dimerization of 2-(methylthio)ethyl tosylate
Abstract
2-(Methylthio)ethyl tosylate undergoes facile dimerization. Previous OTs/Cl rate ratios were based on reaction of the tosylate dimer. New ratios, which are still low, are reported.
