Solvation of tetraphenylphosphonium dicyanamide
Abstract
NMR and IR spectroscopy have been used to study the solvation of the dicyanamide ion in solvents with different chemical natures. The occurrence of two kinds of interaction of the N(CN)2−ion with the solvents has been established: by means of hydrogen bonds (alcohols, chloroform) and by ion-dipole interaction (aprotic solvents).
