Title
Migratory Birds – Greater Vulnerability under Trump Administration’s Policies on Incidental Take and Habitat
Abstract
Thousands of birds - more than half of the North American species - migrate, impervious to whether they are crossing state or international lines and whether the water bodies or electric poles on which they land pose a life-threatening potential. Regulatory changes made by the Trump Administration threaten the legal protections for these birds. This article briefly summarizes regulatory changes to the interpretation of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the Waters of the United States Rule.
