Title
HCI prototyping and modeling of future psychotherapy technologies in second life
Abstract
This paper describes the virtual MSU SL Prototyping Center for Psychotherapy Technologies in development at Missouri State University and explores the value of using Second Life (SL) as a prototyping tool for HCI research. The power of SL is illustrated in our use of it to envision applications and usage scenarios for an integrative system for psychotherapy technologies called MyPsySpace, a highly flexible and customizable system that can be used by independent therapists trained in a wide range of theoretical orientations. © 2014 Springer International Publishing.
