Title
Spatial Visualization: Fundamentals and Trends in Engineering Graphics
Abstract
Fundamentals and trends of spatial visualization in engineering graphics are discussed. Computerized testing when combined with virtual reality modeling language (VRML) or similar technologies provides additional opportunities for testing using three-dimensional objects. Animation, parametric solid modeling and virtual reality technologies are described to be readily accessible for use in the classroom. It was concluded that applying textures, colors or lighting to a three-dimensional (3D) model may significantly impact spatial ability.
