Rhetoric of social conflict
Abstract
This chapter covers the rhetoric of social conflict, specifically by exploring two prominent theoretical approaches within rhetorical theory. It subsequently examines diverse methodological perspectives, providing an accessible survey of criticism regarding rhetoric of social conflict. The chapter employs the "war on woke" as a case study to illustrate the consequences of rhetoric in the context of social conflict. Through a systematic exploration of theoretical foundations and methodological considerations, the chapter provides insights into the dynamics of public discourses and contentious social issues.
