Introduction: intercollegiate policy debate, a decade in review
Abstract
“Intercollegiate Policy Debate, A Decade in Review” previews the contributions of scholars in the special issue who attend to persistent and emergent controversies within the activity. We argue that these essays showcase complex intersections between the practices of intercollegiate policy debate and broader societal cleavages and scholarly conversations. We suggest that intercollegiate policy debate can serve as a microcosm of academic inquiry, and encourage scholars from both within and outside of intercollegiate policy debate to take notice and continue to critically examine, appraise, and engage with the trends and practices of the activity.
