Teaching Students Who Are Deaf/Hard of Hearing Using Evidence-Based Practices for Student Success
Abstract
This chapter presents an overview of evidence-based practices (EBPs) for use with school-aged d/Deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) learners. We provide a brief overview of DHH students followed by criteria used when determining if an instructional strategy/practice has an evidence base. Then we review EBPs with examples of how these strategies can be used within instruction across skills and content.
