Publication Exploring the Views of Hospitality Professionals on LinkedIn on the Impact of Generative AI: Focusing on Text Mining
Abstract
– Emerging technologies, particularly Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), are reshaping the hospitality industry, offering new opportunities for personalization, customer engagement, and operational efficiency. This study focuses on understanding how hospitality professionals perceive the potential benefits and challenges of GenAI, specifically by analyzing LinkedIn discussions using Text Mining techniques. Through sentiment analysis, topic modeling, and TF-IDF analysis, the research explores the prevailing attitudes, key themes, and significant terms related to GenAI in the hospitality sector. Results reveal that while there is excitement about GenAI's revolutionary potential for enhancing customer service, marketing campaigns, and overall operational productivity, concerns regarding data privacy, ethical implications, and the protection of consumer trust remain significant barriers. The study offers valuable insights for researchers, hotel managers, and industry stakeholders to navigate the integration of GenAI into hospitality practices, emphasizing the need for ethical guidelines and responsible implementation to maximize its benefits.
