Ramirez v. Collier on Religious Liberty in the Execution Chamber
Abstract
In an 8-1 decision authored by Chief Justice Roberts, the Supreme Court ruled that federal law entitles a death-sentenced inmate to have his spiritual advisor pray audibly and lay hands on him “during the execution.”.
