Abstract
Park Bench in my Head is a creative thesis containing short works which will have been plucked and polished from the various aspects of prose based on creative writing that I have produced while a student at SMSU. If there is any one theme running through this work it is my personal spiritual ideology, and my belief that we are all spiritual seekers, whether we know it or not. However, these are not religious texts, and for the most part do not reflect any religious doctrines, but rather they illustrate my concept that there is a threat of spiritual light that runs through all of us, and that we, as individuals, may choose to amplify, or darken that light. In one manner or another, each of these stories is about how the characters, and therefore we as humans, interact with their personal experiences in seeking spiritual awareness, and the consequences of amplifying or dimming our lights.
