Abstract
Tara is a collection of interconnected short-stories centering on the funeral of Tara Michaels. The stories are told through her friends and those who never met her, though she had a definite impact on their lives. Jeff Hoover was teased by Tara in high school and wants revenge. Allan Washington, one of Tara's stoner friends from college, experiences troubles visited upon him by religious fanatics. Jeremy Harrison once asked Tara out on a date in high school, but was turned down, but he finds a way to "change" that memory, with disastrous results. Michael Henson is the former roommate of Tar's college boyfriend; he is a shut-in with a giant in his basement. Tara's death sets off a string of events which brings about the end of the world.
