Abstract
This thesis is presented in three parts. The first part is a movie script for a full-length feature film. The second part is a critical analysis of said movie script compared in both structure and content to classical models presented in literary works such as Joseph Campbell's "The Hero with a Thousand Faces” and Christopher Vogler's "The Writer's Journey”. The third part is a personal narrative examining the many graduate school experiences that have helped shape me into the writer I am today. Together, these three parts are presented in such a way as to showcase both my mastery of writing and my understanding of the various literary models necessary to create lasting storylines.
