Abstract
Poverty knows no religion or creed and is widespread all over the globe. However there are concentrations in the third world countries. The Microfinance program was initiated to assuage poverty and to provide an opportunity to every poor person to undertake responsibility to establish his and her own human dignity. The Microfinance program aims to eradicate poverty from the civilized society and keep it in the museums, which is its rightful place. This thesis will attempt to explain the workings of the Microfinance model.
