Abstract
This is a screenplay set in the late 1870's which deals with two men from different cultures and how they both see the future of the West. One, Jack Gamble, is a scout and buffalo hunter who realizes that what he has done is contributing to his way of life fading away. Stands Straight, a Cheyenne, sees that war with the wite man is nothing more than slow suicide for his people. The screenplay follows each of them on a quest to find peace and escape the reality of the times. This thesis, written in screenplay format, pays homage to many of the movies of the Golden Age of the Western.
