Abstract
This study sought to design and implement a creative movement based curriculum to help develop a positive self-concept and increase cognitive development at a more accelerated level than would be possible through a regular program design. An experimental design was used to determine the effect of a creative movement based program upon mental ages of a select group of kindergarten students. Analysis of the data indicated that students who experience the creative movement based program will not have significantly greater mental ages than those in the traditional program.
