Abstract

A floristic study of the vascular flora of Grand Gulf State Park in Oregon County, Missouri, was made between July, 1987, and September, 1990. An annotated checklist of 346 taxa representing 66 families, 166 genera, 218 species and 40 tentative Oregon County records is included. An effort was made to describe the plant communities and to account for the occurrence of the flora within this area in relation to climate, topography, and soil. A summary of geology and history of Grand Gulf is also given.
