Abstract
The purpose of this article is to analyze Don Quixote's armor from a psychoanalytical point of view, using the theories of condensation and displacement proposed by Sigmund Freud and Jacques Lacan. Among the items to be discussed throughout this research are the sword, the helmet, the quixotes and his horse. All these elements will shed light on the debate about reality and fiction in Don Quixote of La Mancha.
