Poverty, Race, and Police: A Conversation
Abstract
This article examines the role of the hashtag #blacklivesmatter in the response to the Black Lives Matter movement. It is suggested that the hashtagging of ideas allows anyone to appropriate a message and, thus, allows any opposition to create salient exemplars from the worst abusers.
