Making Changes within a Team
Abstract
Purpose: To illustrate the use of team employment and management within a variety of organizations.
Design/methodology/approach: Writes about experiences of introducing team management into a Tool company and GE. Also provides some exercises in training and planning for team management.
Findings: Some of the key points made were the need for pilot testing, for the team to own the numbers and targets, and for open communications.
Originality/value: Some useful pointers for anyone considering a more team based approach to product or service delivery.
