Title
Neural networks approach to select scheduling heuristics
Abstract
This paper discusses the application of neural networks to select an appropriate algorithm to solve a given scheduling problem. Using the two-stage hybrid flow-shop with multiple identical parallel machines at second stage as an example, this paper illustrates the application of Genetic Algorithm based approach to train and use neural networks for selecting the most effective heuristic algorithm for solving a given scheduling problem.
